the cream and white tabby was laying around camp, a feeling of hopelessness sweeping over her like a wave, bringing a cold sense of dread into her heart. she was scared, honestly. her ancestors had been quiet lately, which worried her especially in this time of need. their clan was young, yet they had no one to lead them, no doctors to guide them through their departed, watching over them and guiding them. she was rather young, only a year old, not nearly old enough to take any sort of responsibility. she knew this, but she couldn't help but worry and wish to help bring her clan back up to its once strong state. with a long sigh, the girl took a seat on the soft, yellowish hued grass and curled up at the base of the tree. she looked out to where the soft baby blue sky met the wispy pale yellow-brownish grass, and found herself drifting off.
when infinityring opened her baby blue eyes, she wasn't greeted with the land hitting the horizon like she fell asleep to. no, she found herself floating high above her lovely home in the willow trees, though she felt as if she were standing on glass. the girl felt her breath catch in her throat, baby blue optics widening, shock dancing around in her pale sky-hued depths. she took a step back, unable to take her eyes off of her home. after a few moments of deep breathing and panic, the girl relaxed, and couldn't deny the strong feeling of curiosity swelling in her chest. what was this?
she watched, feeling that maybe something was wrong with her home, but she couldn't really place her paw on it. then it hit her - where was everyone? then, in a flash, a bunch of random cats she couldn't identify raced around the tree, running, yowling, obviously panicking about something. but no one pulled them together, no one came to comfort them. cats got hurt, and no one helped them. she watched as the willow tree caught fire, sending the remaining cats running away from their home, the tree that held them together, scattering. she watched in horror as her beloved home burnt down, seemingly sped up in some sort of time lapse, so it was only a minute before the tree was a pile of charred splintery wood, ashes and coal.
the scene faded away and she found herself surrounded by inky blackness flecked with little bits of white found to and fro, sometimes in clusters and sometimes spread out. stars. then it hit her - she was among the stars. she was receiving a message from starclan. her breath caught in her throat and she looked around, star stuck. a figure appeared to her, its figure pale, nearly transparent, and flecked with stars. wisps of light spiraled off of the figure, its wide white eyes surprisingly soft.
she opened her jaws to speak, but the figure shook its head softly. "don't speak, child. we don't have much time. what you just saw was a vision, something you will receive much more of as time goes on. i'm sorry i cannot assist you more, but you must figure this out for yourself. decipher its meaning. and one more thing, child. you are destined to become the next medic of willowclan. go, tell your clanmates. bring your clan back together, to its golden age." and with that, she was gone. fin woke up, breathing heavily and she leaped to her feet. "willowclanners! gather!"
